Summary

In the personal development realm, discussion around Forgiveness tends to focus on us Forgiving the other person for what they apparently did.

But what about asking for Forgiveness? And, if I may, I want to take that a step further and talk about asking for Forgiveness from the person you think owes YOU an apology.

In this episode of With Love, Danielle (#42), I’m going to tell you a personal story about digging deep for accountability––and the euphoria of fessing up.

I hope this sparks heaps of reconciliation across the whole wide world. And if it does, tell me all about it. Forgiveness stories are my favourite.

And essentially, this is a one-woman show about self-realization called With Love, Danielle.

0:15.0

I'll be talking about compassion, self-help fatigue, sex, joy, serving the world. This is about a spirituality that's

0:23.6

way more rock and roll than it is oppressive. I am not into making grand motivational promises,

0:30.3

but I can commit to showing up as fully, sincerely, authentically as possible with the intention of really alleviating suffering

0:41.3

and amplifying joy just for starters. It's about doing everything I can to help all of us feel

0:47.3

a little less crazy, a lot more full of possibility and clearly part of the solution.

specifically asking for forgiveness from somebody else.

1:17.8

Not to be conflated with saying you're sorry or simply apologizing.

1:22.8

Those things are beautiful, but we're really going like full tilt heart-centered today with this one.

1:23.9

I'm going to push us with a scenario.

1:27.3

Let's imagine, can you bring to mind someone who has done

1:30.5

you wrong, someone who really did you wrong, someone who, like in all your years of therapy and

1:36.5

your actual legit earned wisdom, you can tell that they were really the agitator in the situation. They created a lot of the chaos.

1:48.1

Let's say that they were 80% responsible. You notice I almost had to blame. But let's just say

1:56.3

that, you know, in all logic, without a ton of judgment, they were 80% the cause of the problem,

2:06.5

whatever the demise or the fraction was. Okay, you're probably wanting an apology from them.

2:13.4

I get it. You might never get the apology. It doesn't matter. When we move into the mode of

2:24.0

self-reflection and responsibility and deep, deep self-acceptance, loving all of our

rightness and our righteousness and our wrongness. We get into a place where we want to
