Summary

Tonight’s guest, Dave Wargo, has been interested in Sasquatch for about as long as he can remember. Dave had his first Sasquatch in July of 1974, on a family member’s 500-acre farm, just west of Rochester, Ohio. The day he had his first sighting, he was hunting groundhogs on a Norfolk & Southern main railroad line that ran by the property. He was hunting with his friend, little brother, and dad that day. Since then, he’s had multiple, other, sightings and encounters. We hope you’ll tune in and listen to him share them.

0:14.0	Hello, my name is Dave Wargo. I am a lifelong Sasquatch fan.
0:23.0	I first Sasquatch in Ohio back in 1974.
0:29.0	He was into clear, he's up on the railroad tracks, and then I discovered that these things were real.
0:36.0	Since that time period, I have always been on the lookout for furry friends in the woods.
0:43.0	Hopefully they're friendly. I don't know. I haven't got too close to one yet.
0:47.0	I'll start out my story about telling my first experience seeing a Sasquatch.
0:53.0	It was back in 1974. I believe it was July, 1974.
1:00.0	This is just west of a little village called Rochester, Ohio, which is down in southern part of Lorraine County.
1:09.0	I had a relative that lived right there. I had 500 acre farm, and that's why it was there because I was usually bailing hay or helping with farm chores.
1:20.0	It was a young man of 16 years old.
1:23.0	Well, for past time there on the farm, I would hunt, and we were hunting wood chucks or groundhogs, whatever you want to call them, and happened upon our first Sasquatch.
1:36.0	We were hunting on the main line, I believe it was a north folk and western line.
1:42.0	It's a railroad line high speed, and if you're familiar with that part of Ohio, some of those train tracks run from one horizon to the other.
1:50.0	It just comes out of the distance and disappears in a distance.
1:54.0	This is the main line. It was at the time with two tracks, side by side, high speed line.
2:01.0	If you saw a light, you had to watch because that train is going to be there in a minute or two because they go 80, 90 miles an hour.
2:09.0	We're on the railroad tracks surrounded by soybean fields.
2:13.0	There was four of us hunting. I was on the south track. My buddy Jim was on the north track.
2:21.0	My little brother was hunting in a soybean field to the south side of the track, and my father was hunting along the edge of the soybean field on the north side of the track.
2:32.0	We were walking west into the wind, because wood trucks are very wily, and they have good sight and smell, and when they're hunted, they're kind of hard to hunt.
