Good morning once again. It is time for the morning mindset edition of the

LiveBuild Change Podcast. I'm Carrie Green and it is time for us to dig in

again to some of the truths that God has revealed to us about himself and about ourselves and about the world so that we can live a life today that is worthy of him.

And we have been talking about a list of things

that John Piper has provided for us

that talk about what it means that God calls himself

by the name I am.

That's an interesting way for someone to describe themselves when you say with some

improper grammar.

He says tell them I am has sent you. That doesn't really sound right, but it is full

of meaning. And we've talked about five things already that that means. And the sixth thing

that I wanted to introduce you today is the idea that by saying that he is the I am,

God is saying all the universe by comparison to him is has nothing.

It is contingent, it is dependent on him.

It's like an echo to a thunder club.

All that we are amazed by in the world and in the galaxies is compared to God.

Nothing.

That's just hard to comprehend, isn't it? I mean, we think about a starry night

when you stand outside and you look up into the heavens, and you see all these billions of stars

in the dark sky.

And there's a sense of wonder that you feel.

There's a sense of amazement.
