And I'm Trace, and we're talking Addison Hyman's new queer horror film, Hypochondriac.

Folks, this was very exciting for me because Addison Hyman was the director of Jeff Drives You, which was a microqueer short that we have covered on the show before.

So I was so excited for hypochondriac

because it's like how often does a short director get to end up making a feature?

And it's really fucking queer to boot.

Very, very, very, very queer, unabashedly queer, explicitly queer in some ways.

In many ways.

So folks, if you have not seen this, hypochondriac, the logline from IMDB, is a young potter's life devolves into chaos as he loses function of his body while being haunted by the physical manifestation of his childhood trauma.

And pretty significant trigger warning for

things like self-harm and mental illness.

This has been interesting, Trace.

I think we're going to have a good conversation about it because some people are really

responding to the mental illness portion of it and like the hallucinations that this character

is experiencing. and then other people

are like oh a little of that goes a long way and what I'm really more interested in is the reality

of like this queer man trying to cope with it but also being reticent to involve his partner and so
