During a period of about a month back in 1992, a murderer went on a crime spree. He took the lives of six different people in five incidents in three different states, Many of his targets were located close to I 70, the highway that stretches east- west from Utah all the way to Maryland. Because of this, he soon earned the name "the I 70 Killer." His real identity remains unknown — though police investigators still work tirelessly to unmask him.
In this episode we speak with Michael Crooke, the detective who caught the first of the i 70's confirmed murders — the slaying of Robin Fuldauer in Indianapolis, Indiana. He walks us through all of the incidents in the month long spree and offers insights into what might have motivated the killer in his terrible crimes.
