This week, Maddie and Lauren are joined by fellow sister duo, Hunter and Michaela McGrady. Hunter and Michaela are successful models, co-hosts of The Model Citizen Podcast, and vocal activists of body-neutrality and self-love. In this episode, they share the story of how they started modelling and subsequently transitioned from street size models to plus size models, and dive into the parts of the industry you don't see on social media. Hunter and Michaela also define the terms body neutrality and body positivity, and discuss why working to achieve the former is so important.  You can find Hunter and Michaela @huntermcgrady and @michaelamcgrady on Instagram and their podcast, The Model Citizen Podcast, on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.  Produced by Dear Media.

Hi, I'm Maddie Orlando, and this is my sister Lauren.

Hi.

We have an eight-year age gap.

So we don't always agree on everything, but at least we have different perspectives.

On this podcast, we discuss basically anything you would talk about with your own

0:21.4

sister. So, welcome to our film. Can we start off by talking a little bit about you guys and where you're

from, about your story, and how you got into modeling as well. Yeah. So we are both born and raised in

two. Now I'm a plus size model. And I just like couldn't maintain that. I couldn't maintain that,

1:24.0

you know, that size. And it just wasn't meant for me. Like, it wasn't meant for my body.

1:28.1

So when I was 19, I switched over to plus size modeling and there it was kind of like,

1:32.7

off to the races. Everything kind of clicked. I then got into Sports Illustrated at 22 years old.

1:41.5

And that was kind of the thing that like changed my life. And I've been in, gosh,

1:47.0

now four or five magazines with them. I've been in every year since. Yeah. It's been pretty

1:52.8

amazing. When you're in it so much, you can't even keep track. Yes, exactly. Can't relate.

1:58.5

Yeah, same.
