Well, would you turn with us this evening to 1 Corinthians, the 12th chapter, for some weeks now, we've been on the subject, of hungry for the Holy Spirit, being hungry for the Holy Spirit.

And the further we get into it, the more I see it is the Lord and his wisdom and some things he's going to be doing with us even over the next weeks and months.

We are not just to learn about these things and then change subjects to another series.

This is supposed to change our life.

We're supposed to be doers of the word and not hearers only.

How can we be doers of a teaching on the gifts of the spirit?

What would be the result?

That we have more of the gifts and manifestations of the spirit so we're not just having a teaching where that we can come and take notes and pause and go

hmm that's interesting and then go back to our life after the service.

No, this is supposed to change us.

Us putting these scriptures, these words into practice are supposed to change us.

Change us into what?

Change us into the book of Acts.

Are you with me?

The book of Acts and beyond.

Things like the book of Acts, but more and even greater.

Because like we said, in the Lord, everything's supposed to advance,

supposed to increase, even from generation to generation.

1 Corinthians 12 and verse 31.

He said, but covet earnestly the best gifts, and yet show I unto you a more excellent way.

Covet earnestly the best gifts.

That's strong language, isn't it?
