right now for the longest government shutdown in history. Senate Majority Leader John Thune

plans to bring the House-passed continuing

resolution to the floor again tomorrow. Three sources telling NBC that this time it will include

a new expiration date and three full-year spending bills. But the package does not include

the Democrats' central core demand, a commitment to extend expiring health care credits.

And big election wins for Democrats have energized the parties' fight. MSNBC now reporting

after weeks of different approaches, Democrats are advocating a new strategy when it comes to the shutdown.

Unity. Behind closed doors, Democrats have been discussing making their own unified offer

on the shutdown. Sources told MSNBC, though they seem to be holding out at the moment to see if
