Alright, welcome on to a Sunday weekend playoff wrap up edition of Duncton. We are going to talk about all six games that happen this weekend.

0:10.0

Well, talk on this blowout spectacular edition of Duncton.

0:14.5

I mean, these bullets are metal. Let's talk about the game that actually just concluded here because obviously when we last left you, the clippers were still perceived to be in trouble.

0:26.5

I thought I saw which way the wind was blowing in this series a little bit. I thought I'd give the clippers a slightly better than 50% chance of winning this series.

0:34.5

As we record now, the clippers lead it by 24 with seven minutes left in the fourth. So they're going to win this one.

0:41.0

For sure, we just did this one for the NBA cast and at least for me, D&E, I would say obviously, I mean, it's two two clippers are going home.

0:49.0

But the clippers pretty much appear to have figured the maps out. The maps aren't going to shoot 426 on threes every game. Just like they're working to shoot 50% on threes every game.

0:59.0

That regression has come quickly. But do you agree with me that it's really hard to see the clippers losing this series of this point the way it's gone in the last two games?

1:07.5

I would definitely say that they're clear favorites. I think that the challenge for Dallas moving forward. And this was something you saw before.

1:16.0

I will fully admit after how well the Mavericks played offensively in games one and two. I wondered how the clippers were going to handle that.

1:22.0

But for me, the bigger challenge has actually been the clippers on offense. And they don't Dallas doesn't have the personnel. They don't have too many guys that they can throw it either.

1:31.0

Choir Paul George, both of whom were really good. Choir was unbelievable in this game. And Paul George was very good.

1:36.0

He would have had some really nice run in the first half. And so you think about, okay, how game this out? How can it work?

1:42.0

So the basics you start with, can you defend these guys one on one? And for Choir Leonard, the answer is pretty clearly no. Maxi Kleebo is their best bet.

1:50.0

He hasn't done a great job. Choir has been, has been awesome. Then the other way you can do that is to send extra personnel. And with both Leonard and George, but especially with Choir, when they've sent extra personnel, generally that has led to very good looks for the remainder of the clippers.

2:05.0

And it's part of why, you know, when during the competitive portion of these games, their offensive rating has been very high. Like it was over, I think it was around a 125, 130 during the competitive portion of this game. And it was largely the same story in game three.

2:19.0

And remember, they had that low at the beginning of game three. So you're, so the question is basically, how can that change? And my answer is that it can't. Now you can have the variance of a poor shooting night.

2:30.0

Maybe you don't get to the line as much or something else like that. But the broader dynamics of the clippers being able to score reliably and relentlessly on the Dallas Mavericks, I don't see that change.

2:41.0

Yeah, and they're getting to the rim a ton. They got eight of 11 at the rim just in the first quarter in this game. And the Mavs are not getting to the rim. They've got 66 points so far in this game. And obviously again, the three point shooting will be better.

2:54.0

And if they hit some threes that might open things up, but it really the amazing three point shooting last game.

3:00.0

It's a papered over the fact that the clips were at least starting to find a way defensively. And their defense has been really, really good tonight.

3:09.0

And Nick Batoum has was unbelievable. These 33 minutes, four steals, two blocks. He's like coming over playing individual defense on Luca, like forcing misses on guys trying to drive on him at the rim.
