calling in on the day after Thanksgiving. You know, I was thinking about just what this weekend is, what tomorrow is, what this weekend is when it comes to football and rivalries at the high school and college level in particular.

And you played in college in a high, high profile rivalry.

I mean, people of today don't know how big it was when

USC and UCLA played in the Coliseum right around Thanksgiving. Sometimes it was a few days

before Thanksgiving. Sometimes it was that Friday or Saturday after Thanksgiving. What do you

remember about those days

suiting up for the Bruins in that cross-town

massive rivalry against USC this time of year?

That you didn't want to go a lifetime without winning it.

Being in it is just part of being born.

Winning it, that's the accomplishment.

And so then when you win it one year, you're junior, you want to close out and we split,

but you want to sweep.

But you know, it's very hard to get.

They had the Heisman throw, Ricky Bill with a Heisman trophy. They had the Outland winning trophy. They had the Heisman trophy. Ricky Bill were the Heardtrophy.

They had the Outer winning trophy.

They had the Heid and everybody over there.

So it's one of those battles, and that's why I appreciate Oklahoma, Texas.
