All right. Joining us right now, as he does every Monday and Friday, and he will continue to do,

is our good friend Ben Standig. Ben has a podcast called Last Man Standing, which is excellent.

Ben covers the team, and he's going to continue to cover the team, despite some bad news career-wise,

but just a short interim step back because Ben is talented.

But I'll let him tell you what the news is.

I've known for a while when Ben and I have been talking about this, and I'm sure he has with other people as well.

But he did put it out on Twitter, and go ahead.

Yeah, no, I found out recently that the athletic wasn't going to renew my contract after six

years, so obviously a bummer. Enjoyed my time there my time there but you know I've had time to

process it so you know moved on all good figure it gonna figure out what to come and uh you know

I mean look out you're not guaranteed these jobs I was fortunate to have it for as long as I did and

you know the bosses get to make the decisions just like Adam Peters can Quinn do so got to respect that and uh that's all I can do but yeah

like I said like you said nothing the rest of the same podcast keeps going you um you're

letting me still stay on here so uh yeah not letting you you've earned it on and the station

want you to stay on um look you. You've earned it on, and the station wants you to stay on.

Look, you and I have talked about this, but I'll net it out.

Ben is really good at what he does.

And over the last several years, I wouldn't have them on twice a week,

especially during football season if I didn't think he was really good.

And I think he's done a phenomenal job covering the team.
