I saw this tweet, somebody sent this to me. It's from

Barstool DMV. Congratulations on retirement, Taylor Heineke. And they're showing him his dive and

his touchdown run against Tampa in the 2020 playoffs. And Barstool DMV writes,

thank you for the most iconic moment of the Washington football team era. And Barstool, DMV, writes, thank you for the most iconic moment of the Washington football team era

and one of the most legendary performances in team history.

I mean, I guess in the Washington football team era,

which would have been 2020 and 2021, it's certainly in

consideration. I haven't spent a lot of time thinking about the most memorable performances

or the most iconic moments during those two seasons. I haven't. There weren't many of them,

but no, it's not one of the most legendary performances in team history. And I appreciate that

everybody really liked this player.

I didn't dislike Taylor Heineke.

I thought he was an absolute warrior, gamer, fearless, you know, overachieving guy on the field.

I love that part of him.

He just wasn't a starting NFL quarterback. I mean,

size-wise, arm strength-wise, throwing with anticipation, although he did a lot of things. His brain

obviously was starting level NFL quarterback capable. His will was starting quarterback level. His fearlessness, his, you know, scrappiness was

certainly at that level. He just lacked all of the physical tools that most NFL starting

quarterbacks have. No, he's not one of the most popular players in franchise history.
