Woman was trapped in an elevator for several hours on the 45th floor of a downtown Dallas building after she left a restaurant.

Dallas Fire and Rescue responded to Elmway shortly

before 630 after receiving calls about a person who was stuck in the elevator. The woman was trapped

for more than two hours before being rescued using a pulley system. She was evacuated by medical

personnel after being removed from the elevator shaft and was found to have no injuries.

Other diners leaving the restaurant temporarily used a service elevator as that one was being fixed.

An elevator technician initially tried to fix the elevator and free the woman but was unsuccessful, according to Dallas Fire and Rescue.

So they called in a different team to assist.

Now, a rescuer was then lowered from the 49th floor onto the elevator roof.

This to me is the most terrifying thing, and I know you can't get past the elevator.

It depends on the shaft.

And it set up an anchor for a pulley system.

Using the pulley system, both the woman and the rescuer were pulled back up to the restaurant floor.

Where the woman had entered the elevator.
