Speaking of Minnesota sports events, a premier event for Minnesota high school basketball,

and Edina is being canceled.

Eina's interim school superintendent told organizers that the district didn't feel comfortable,

holding the breakdown

tip-off classic which was scheduled at the high school and community center this weekend close

to three dozen boys teams were already planning on taking part the interim superintendent added

that the complexity of hosting an event with thousands of people needs to be evaluated

so what am i missing they canceled it because they didn't...

Couldn't guarantee the security of the event.

They didn't foresee this level of logistics?

I don't know, man.

In over their heads or what happened? I guess I don't get the specifics of it.

I mean, there was an incident last week between Hopkins and Tartan. They just stopped the game. Right, there was a fight in the stand, so I don't know if that motivated it, but yeah, major event. I know the Breakdown Tipoff Classic, I know the people at Breakdown, and it's a big deal.
