Police about a monkey and a car during an operation to stop drugs getting into prison.

The year old marmoset, believed to be a domestic pet, was discovered when officers stopped the vehicle outside the Morlands in Doncaster.

A South Yorkshire policeman said the monkey was safely removed from the vehicle and transported

to an animal sanctuary.

Police were carrying out checks as part of an operation where visitors to prisons are searched

before entering.

Officers also found a large quantity of crack cocaine.

Two women in their 20s were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply

drugs.

They say about 5,000 primates are kept in the UK as pets.

But they're trying to open up some new legislation where you'll need to obtain a license from a local authorities.

You can own one of these without a license.

They say anyone who fails to comply could be fined or jailed. What animal were you
