going to continue with our duck profile segment that we introduced to you last week.

We featured the Mallard last week.

And this week we're going to feature another very, very popular duck, the canvas back.

So I'm really looking forward to getting into that and talking a little bit about those ducks. And then we're going to talk a little bit about decoy rigs. You know, there's a lot of different ways that you can rig your decoys and a lot of choices on the market out there.

So we're going to share some of our ideas about what we think are the best ways to rig your decoys and

you know some things to consider based on your hunting conditions and you know all of that good stuff so

joining me for all of the conversations here today as always is my co-host Dan

Hrewsky Dan how are you sir? I'm doing pretty well, you know, Tuesday I was in a deer stand. The evening ended at around 60 degrees and today, I'm looking outside right now, probably three inches on my back deck three inches of

snow and we're sitting around a 30 degrees so good little snap here and if

Saturday wasn't the last day of archery season, I would definitely be in a duck swamp because there are tons of birds showing up.

So I think you're seeing the same thing down your way by the pictures you sent me today. Yeah, you know, I was driving home this afternoon and you know, we got a really big push of geese in the area for sure and, you know, I would just on the on the cuff estimate the the flock of birds that I saw you know maybe in the 1500 range I mean there was just birds everywhere

you know they were just all sporadic you know they had no idea where they were going never see birds like that in that number you

know throughout any other part of the season so I knew they were new to the area and you know the pictures I sent

you I'm swerving all over the road and I'm in other lanes trying to get good pictures

to show you the kind of flight we're getting but you know I figured you know we were going to be getting a good push just based on the pictures that you were sending me of the snow on the ground and the polar vortex that we were seeing all the stuff about and you know, that's all great stuff for us. Our season opens, you know that's all great stuff for us our season opens you know this Saturday

which will you know I'll be heading down to the Potomac River and hunting there and

I'm gonna be heading up to the Maryland Waterfowl Festival up in
