This is episode 8, the Ocho of the

H.P. outdoors waterfowl podcast. We got a great show lined up for you this

week. We're going to be joined by Barton Ramsey of Southern Oak Kennels.

Talk a little bit about gun-dogging and some of the tips and techniques to help your

retriever and if you're just getting started he's going to offer us some insight

on how to pick you know a good dog that's going to

match up well with you we're also going to talk a little bit about hunting

buddies you know what makes a good one what makes a bad one so we'll kind of weigh in

on on where we stand there and speaking of hunting buddies as always I'm doing with one of by one of my hunting buddies Dan Horushka Dan how are you sir?

I'm doing well you know our duck duck season came in and it's going pretty well.

We have a few birds in the area and, you know, it's, it's, it's the season, you know, it doesn't get any better. Yeah, it's it is the season you know it doesn't get any better yeah it's starting to

get cold we've had you know down here in Virginia we had our four day early

season come in and you know I took off some work and made sure I got out there all four days.

There's a good amount of birds in the area here, a lot of resident birds so the hunting
