Welcome back to the Greg Hill Show. Today, the NHL has their trade deadline at 3 p.m.

And the Bruins have stayed pretty quiet when it comes to that. We talked a lot yesterday since

Razor was in for Wiggy. We had Judd-Sarrat on about if the Bruins are going to do anything.

Greg made great points when it came to Don Sweeney talking about how he hopes that they do

and that players have spoken out saying that they hope that they do.

But so far, there has been no movement coming off a six to three loss to Nashville.

I'm sure that these players want more help.

But is the price tag too big for the Bruins right now when it comes to other players that are out there and available?

No, I don't think it is. I just don't, I think the Bruins are, they're in a position where

they know that there's a chance they might not even make the playoffs. So if, what are they,

the eight seed right now? They are in the wild, they have the second wild card and they are

just a single point ahead of the blue jackets so basically

they're the eight seed why would you make major moves if you felt like that you those moves

might not even help you accomplish your goal especially when they're not good on the road

they're really really good at home right they're not good on the road. They're really, really good at home. They're not good on the road. And by being a seven or eight seed, you're only going to be playing the majority of your playoff games on the road. Like, yeah, in hockey, luckily, you get to play some home games, but the majority of them are going to be on the road. And they've played three more home games than road games at this stage of the season. And if you're going to rent a guy, don't you, aren't you generally, don't teams rent guys

when they feel like, okay, that player could make them make a major push in the postseason.

So if you're a team that's like, all right, we might back into the playoffs as the eight seed

or maybe the seventh seed, why would we add guys that might

only be rentals when there's a chance where we might not even get in? If they were the 2 seed

or the 3 seed or even the 4 seed, then I say, go all in. What's hilarious is I was looking

this morning and Heavy.com was like, the best trade for the Bruins should be reuniting with Jake Debrusk and sending two like second round picks to the Canucks for him.

I mean, the Panthers are going to miss the playoffs.
