Summary

As we await the decision for Dobbs v. Jackson, the Left is grasping at straws to justify the murder of the preborn. The New York Times released an op-ed weaponizing the death of an innocent woman, Savita Halappanava, and spun the narrative to make it seem like an abortion would've saved her life. But the truth is, Savita died due to the gross negligence of the hospital staff, not because she was pregnant. Tune in this week to hear Kristan Hawkins debunk the common myth that women need abortion in a medical crisis.

Podcast and How to Win this week episode.

0:15.4

So this week I want to talk about how you, you, you can rebut the myth that women need abortion in order

0:24.8

to save lives. Because this, my friends, is going to be the talking point of jure of the

0:30.4

abortion industry in the next several weeks and months as we await the result and the final decision from the Supreme

0:39.9

Court on the Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization case. In fact, just the other week,

0:45.8

the New York Times took a picture of students for life in front of the Supreme Court when

0:49.8

the Supreme Court was hearing the emergency appeal of President Biden's DOJ to stop the heartbeat law from

0:57.6

from being in effect in Texas. And we had signs out for the court saying, let their hearts beat.

1:03.2

And there was an op-ed in the time saying her heart was beating too. And they used our picture.

1:09.3

And the point was to say that women need abortion. And the author

1:12.9

actually retold the story of a 2012 case in Ireland and outside of Galway, a woman Savita Halanapar.

1:22.2

I probably butcher the last name. I'm sorry. But Savita was a pregnant woman who had sepsis and she died. It's a tragic, tragic

1:33.0

story. And you probably have heard of Savita because when Ireland was making the case to

1:39.3

legalize abortion, which just happened a couple years ago, they used Savida's story all over as a justification

1:45.9

to legalize abortion for whatever reason in any circumstance. But what's interesting about this

1:52.8

case is that, and I don't actually understand why abortion advocates keep talking about it,

1:59.0

because if you actually look at the facts of the case, they

2:02.2

don't line up. And the reality is that no matter what story someone talks to you about, why

2:08.8

they think abortion should be legal because of a case they heard or a story they heard, maybe

2:13.6

they heard Savida story. I've heard it on campuses, people trying to recount Savita story without even knowing her name or what country she was in, how far along

2:23.3

in pregnancy she was. You have to be ready to respond to this. And it's actually very simple.
