How to teach your kids about using credit cards.

Making sure the whole family is intelligent about finances, right? Right, and so we talk a lot about giving our kids experience with money, right?

And so we want them to learn in a real way, and that includes teaching them about credit cards. Now a lot of times I think

children think credit cards are just something we magically use to get them things if you haven't

actually spoken to them.

I remember one time my son was like,

I want this thing and I was like, well, you know,

I don't know if that's really worth it.

And he's like, just use your credit card.

And I said, you know, I actually go and pay the credit card for things that we put on the credit card.

He was like, what?

Like it's such a new concept for them.

times author really good book but he talks about showing kids actual dollar bills and using different jars, setting up different jars, saving

jar, spending jar, giving jar, so that they can actually see paper bills and coins going into these George.

I think for kids, the idea of money is just so nebulous.

It's like this magic trick that their parents do, right?

And so then they're in for such a rude awakening
