Look at the story of the prodigal son.

And when the key takeaways was that father didn't chase his son down.

See I would have, I would have tried to get my money back before he blew the call, right?

And when he came back and this kid did bad stuff, he didn't lecture him because the kid

had learned on his own, but the key takeaway for me was that father in that story had created

an environment in which he knew his son would be welcome to come home, which is I think

what I mean, I geared to you, half the people listening to this, you sometimes aren't

close to God because you're afraid he's mad at you because you're not praying enough

and you're not doing this enough.

And so you stay away from the very one that can give you wisdom and help you.

And I don't want our kids to stay away from us as parents because it's never good enough

where we're going to give that lecture.
