Summary

Megan Maynes was 18 years old when she got a call that there was a mass in her ovaries, and she needed surgery ASAP. Along her road to recovery, Megan met nurses that not only encouraged her, but inspired her to pursue a career in the field. Now, as an ER nurse, running coach, and former D1 athlete, Megan forges a path towards healthier lives for those around her everyday. In this episode, Megan, also known as MegRunnerNurse online, shares loads of wisdom, laughs, and advice on how to start running (and actually enjoy it), how to juggle a career in healthcare with self care, and why it’s important to stay physically fit, both mentally and physically, in a demanding job.
