Pondering the question that I'm often asked by my students – when is it best to start a small business? – I discovered Napoleon Hill. At the time, I was 7 months pregnant. I heard about Napoleon Hill's book, Think and Grow Rich, from Daymond John on Shark Tank. I loooooooooove Shark Tank. Where are my other Sharks at? Anyways, Daymond said that he never leaves home without Think and Grow Rich. I thought. "I am sooooooooooo here for that!" Then I thought, well, if it means that much to him, it must be a good read. Little did I know that Think and Grow Rich would change my life forever. Upon first read, I watched my wildest dreams come true. So the simple answer to, "When is it best to start a small business?"…is NOW. It's this summer!

Starting a small business at home begins when you stop making excuses…and start. When it comes to the basics of small business accounting or how to start a small business at home, it's easier than ever to make money online. I believe that we are entering into a day and time where a massive – and I mean massive – shift in education is about to occur. The great news? 0:56.9	binge watching your favorite Netflix show or feeding all your kids. Well, this episode is for you.
1:03.5	It's about all of the things that I think that you need to start a business at your home as a teacher

1:11.8	And what I would do if I was just starting out my business all over again.
1:17.2	Now, one of my favorite books of all time is Napoleon Hills, Think and Grow Rich.
1:23.3	And I wanted to share with you just some of the strategies that he uses, like a big overarching view,
1:28.9	there are seven of them. Number one, 99% of people quit from temporary defeat. Number two,
1:35.5	weak desire brings weak results. Number three, persistence will beat every failure. Number four,
1:42.4	achievement starts with a burning desire. Number five, you're not
1:46.3	paid for what you know. You're paid for what you do with what you know. Love that one. Number six,
1:52.1	start now with what you have and find better tools along the way. And number seven, failure is temporary.
