And then find yourself in the opening

moments of a national radio show about to use a phrase that you're not 100% clear about

the meaning. No, just me? Okay. So do you remember when the phrase democratic deficit started

bouncing around the country not that long ago? Was it sort of referendomy time, I think,

democratic deficit? And I confess, I think? Democratic deficit.

And I confess, I'm not 100% clear on precisely what it meant,

but I'll tell you what I thought it meant,

because that's the meaning and the definition
