This month we've been studying the Book of Acts as God worked through the Little Early Church to accomplish big things for the kingdom of God.

In Acts Chapter 4, there was trouble in that early church.

Religious leaders opposed the gospel of Jesus, their lives were being threatened.

These things set the stage for a great prayer meeting.

They didn't need lofty words, eloquent entreaties, or flowery petitions. They needed power and they received it.

How do we put power in our prayers? If you have your Bible, find Acts Chapter 4 starting in verse 33.

Not merely to pray, but to pray with power,

to pray so as to get your prayers answered. Christians, someone has said, are like tea.

Their real strength comes out when they're in hot water.
