0:29.9	I think we feel the not rightness of life, especially when it hits our families, our parents,
0:36.0	our siblings, our kids.
0:38.2	When a child spirals from one bad choice into another, when our mom's depression or anxiety leaves her totally
0:46.4	helpless, when our dad's lifelong addictions explode into public when someone gets sick, when someone dies too young.

1:00.9	What do you say to God? I wonder how David felt when he watched his son
1:06.3	Absalon spin out of control as he watched him lead a coup set himself inexorably against the will of God. He had to think this isn't
1:16.7	the way it's supposed to be. Sons shouldn't turn on fathers. Even worse, how could his God and his son be at odds with one another?
1:27.2	What would you do? What would you say to God?
1:31.2	Absalom is in control of Jerusalem in this story and he wants advice to figure out how to
1:37.8	destroy his own father, how to kill David, and he gets good advice from a man named a Hittifel and he gets bad advice from a man named
1:46.3	Hushai. But Absalom, he has no idea which one's good, which one's bad, and he ends up taking the
1:51.5	bad advice. Why? Well, verse 14 tells us, for the Lord had
1:56.9	determined to frustrate the good advice of a Hittifel in order to bring disaster
2:02.3	on Absalon.
2:03.5	Those are chilling words, aren't they?
2:06.2	I mean, just let them sit on you for a second.
2:08.2	The Lord had determined to bring disaster on Absalom.
