I think since it's your first time, if you could start just by telling us a little bit about your background

and how you ended up becoming an expert in this particular topic and writing the book, that would be fantastic.

Well, I'm a retired Miami-Dade police officer.

You've spent most of my life assigned to DEA as a Marshall at work on the task force.

I ran then ran the public corruption unit for Janet Reno in Miami.

I retired 9-11 happened. I ran a red team for Homeland Security during the Bush administration

started my own company. What we do primarily is assessments at public and private schools,

threat assessments, and training for armed school security officers.

And that note is a perfect one to begin on because it's controversial in different parts of

the country, even that you would have armed security officers at schools or let alone armed

teachers. So why don't we start there, Wayne, as somebody who's doing these threat assessments and

actively evaluating the security of schools? What is your, where do you weigh in, I suppose,

on that question of having armed officers armed teachers inside of school?
