I'm your host Dr. Michelle Daph. Today we're talking about how to prepare for marriage as a single woman.

This was a requested episode so I'm happy to bring you a

single woman. This was a requested episode, so I'm happy to bring you something that you're interested in listening to.

And it's an important episode because your singlehood is a beautiful time in life to be able to get to know yourself and

to explore the world and figure out who you are and what you have to offer us.

And when I say us, I'm talking about the world in terms of

manifesting yourself in order to fulfill your purpose, the thing that God created you for.

But part of that is aligning yourself with the person that God created for you, the person that you are meant to share this life with, to bring you everything that God intended for you.

When you're a single woman, you're oftentimes in this place of wondering and hoping and imagining and thinking of who you're going to end up with. Thinking about the ideal man that you want for yourself, thinking about what your life is going to look like in that next stage.

But this time you have when you're single is the best time to work on yourself and to learn

about what it's going to take to have a successful marriage.

There is no point in doing all this work to yourself.

There's no point in spending time, emotions, money, reputation, all of that just to get married to someone and the

marriage doesn't work. That will actually leave you worse off than not getting married at all.

So it's very important that you learn what it takes, what it takes in you.

And the ideal characteristics look forward to man while you are single.

Don't wait.

Preparing for your marriage is both you working on you and you learning about men and you learning about marriage.

It's a twofold concept and honestly there is so much in this question there's absolutely no way I could go through all
