Hey guys, it's Kathy Heller.

Welcome back to another episode of Don't Keep Your Day job.

I'm so happy you're here today because we were going to be talking about something that is so pervasive.

I don't even think there's a call in foster syndrome, a syndrome because it is something that everybody deals with all the time.

In fact, the other day I posted on my Instagram something my incredibly talented friend Emily McDowell posted, which says,

we're so lucky that flowers don't hold themselves back because other flowers are already blooming.

And if you stop and you think about that for a second, it's so true.

Every day I hear people saying, why should I bother pursuing this thing I love when so many people are already doing it?

Or there's already 15 people I can think of who are better at this thing than I am.

When I started my podcast, I worried that it was going to be a futile effort since it didn't seem like my perspective was unique in any way.

And I'm so glad I did because I met all of you and so many things have come from that.

So we're going to dive into how do we really understand what a foster syndrome is and how do we not let it derail us and how can we overcome that?

I'm so excited to dive into that.

Also, just want to let you know because you're going to say,
