On Monday, I sat down with Steven Curtis Chapman. Steven is the most awarded artist in Christian music history, but his journey has not been easy. Today we are giving you a quick breakdown on how he found glimpses of hope after the sudden and devastating loss of his 5-year-old daughter, Maria. Throughout our conversation, Steven shares his journey on how he came back to music and, overall, how he found joy in the midst of his darkness and grief.

1. Be aware of and sit with your feelings

3. Trusting that God will never leave you

4. Make peace with the suffering
