This is a podcast of action, providing a little extra motivation to keep that fitness promise. Hi, I'm Dave.

I've been walking to fitness since 2013, averaging about 21,000 steps.

That's not my goal.

That's actually more a reflection of how much I love walking.

I love the benefits.

I love how it makes me feel. I even love it on mornings like this.

As you can tell, it's rainy and windy here in South Carolina, and I'm out in it.

And the temperature is not, it's but it's uh it's in the comfortable range and so mornings

like this actually are kind of fun a little bit of an adventure now you know a month or two ago

when we had temperatures they were hovering just above freezing, and it was raining, and it was windy.

You heard the whiny part of me as I was walking, but generally a good rainstorm is actually something different.

I've been out walking in the rain in the summertime when the temperature is pretty warm,

and I've actually been disappointed that it wasn't raining harder.

It's like I looked at the radar.

It's like, oh, yeah, there's the heavy rain.

This will be fun.

And then it scoots a little to the north, and not only do we not get the heavy rain, but it stops raining, and that

actually is disappointing. And then there was the one time I walked out in the rain, and it was

coming down really heavy, and I misread the forecast. And then along with the heavy rain came thunder and lightning.
