0:41.0	what the heck is going on here? let me give you one of those examples
0:44.5	mark 11 verse 12 we read this on the following day when they came from
0:48.6	Bethany he this is Jesus was hungry and seeing in the distance a fig tree and leaf he went to it to see if he could find anything on it.
0:56.5	When he came to it, he found nothing but leaves. So there's no fig fruits on it. That's the point.
1:02.1	For it was not the season for figs. And he said to it,
1:05.5	may no one ever eat fruit from you again and his disciples hurt it. So let's pause here.
1:12.0	What did the fig tree do? Well, the fig tree didn't have any fig
1:16.0	on it, but the author points out it's not even the season for fig. So what did Jesus expect?
1:20.9	Why would he think that there would be fig tree when it's not fig season?
1:25.6	But the story gets even weirder. Five verses later, we read this.
1:29.3	As they passed by in the next morning, they saw the fig tree withered away to its roots and Peter remembered
1:35.7	and said to him rabbi look the fig tree that you cursed has withered.
