I'm Andy Stanley and I will be your host on this episode because today I have my friend

Clay Skraggins in the studio to begin a two-part discussion on how to lead when you are not

in charge.

Honestly, it's a complete privilege.

I thank you.

That's right.

I worked together for, this is hard to believe, 14 years, seven years as well as Clay

led our student ministry and then for the last seven years, he's been a campus pastor

which basically put him in charge of a whole bunch of people in our organization.

When Clay was 30 and that's a big deal in light of what we're going to talk about, I

asked him to give oversight to one of our largest campuses.

He was 30 years old and I didn't know he was 30 until I'd ask him.

I said, how old is Clay?

I said, I don't know.

He's just a great leader and I found out he was 30 and it was too late.

And then a few years ago, he stepped into my old role here at our original campus.

Clay's from Tuscaloosa as an industrial engineer major from Georgia Tech but he says he

doesn't know anything about engineering.
