When you're working from home as a mom.

And we have talked to some moms, a lot of moms actually on this podcast. And today's mom is Melissa Beeler. Now I have gotten to know Melissa this year as she is a member inside my shine accelerator high level coaching community.

She is also a PR pro. She has a background in journalism electronic media. She worked for new stations for years. And now she has been building her own business, helping other people get media for their brands and their businesses.

But I love about our conversation is Melissa shares some of the key indicators that she has learned that is needed in order to grow and scale, especially when you are working from home.

She also talks about how to show up and ask for help, even if you don't really know where to turn or what the right answers may be.

And how to raise your prices with your current clients and to get them to happily pay. This is a big thing that I have been working with Melissa and all of my students on this year is about really making sure that their prices are aligned with their services and the values that they are providing.

She talks about how she's been able to do this this year in her own business and how it has set her up to actually hit her first ever six figure year, which is super exciting. She's going to tell you how exactly she had those conversations with her clients and what came from that.

And then how to figure out the best rates for your own services and then of course finding the courage and the confidence to get that support and defining your value in the marketplace. This is an awesome conversation. It is a fun one. Let's dive in.

I'm so excited to have you and you know, we have gotten to know each other this year through my shine accelerator program. You are one of the incredible members inside that program and I have really just loved to watch you shine for lack of a better word and some of the things that

you know have really stuck out to me and we're going to talk about it a lot today, which is really why I wanted to have you on this podcast to share your story is how you're not afraid to show up and to try new things and to think outside the box and to ask for help

and to take action and I mean, even with you being a mom already and you are pregnant and you are about to have another baby here in the next couple of months, you're doing all of this right now as a mom as a pregnant mom.

Also working full time you have all the things and I just think that your story is is one that is very relatable and one that I know that a lot of the listeners can say like, oh, wow, I see a lot of her in me.

And then I think one of the one of the parts of your story that I really love is just how you do it anyways, even if you don't have all the answers and even if you don't have it all figured out, so I would love for you just to kind of share a little bit about who you are your background and PR what that's looked like so far and what has brought you to to today.

So my name is Melissa Beeler on Instagram, I'm Melissa underscore dealer underscore or Melissa beeler dot com so about five years ago when I had my daughter, I was a TV news reporter for about eight years and I had worked in big cities like Houston.

And then I was back in Tulsa because that's where my husband is from.

And when I had my daughter, it just didn't feel right to go back, I was like, someday needs to change something needs to be different, so I started to think about, okay, what kind of skills do I have.
