what's What's popping everyone? Welcome back to the podcast. Kevin here from Epic

Gardening where it's my goal to help you grow a greener thumb and part of

that starts getting into the world of trees. We're going to talk about the fruit tree

known as the guava. It is packed with Vitamin C. You know this is one that I had a lot of

experience with growing up so So I grew up Filipino.

And actually, I continue to be Filipino to this day.

But it was just a fruit that we had a lot growing up.

And so there's definitely an affinity for it for me. But now as I'm a gardener it's something I'm on the verge of planting as I try to secure some more land to get a bit of an orchard going.

That's really one of my big goals for this year if I can make that happen. So let's talk a

little bit about Guava and how you may go ahead and grow it in the garden. Now

Guava tree, it's a pretty easy tree to care for and basically be treated as a large shrub or a small tree.

Lifespan is 30 to 40 years. So it's going to last about as long as you are if you're 40 years old right now.

So, plant it for life, definitely

something to consider. It's native to southern Mexico into Central America

and it can grow up to 30 feet tall.

Now, it may not do that in your climate based on how you're growing it,

but it certainly has that capacity.
