0:11.0	And I'm Patrick Miller. Right now we're learning how to follow Jesus
0:15.6	by working our way through the Gospel of Luke. Kevin Baw has his own country it's
0:21.6	called the Republic of Molossia and if you don't mind he'd prefer it if you called
0:26.2	him his excellency. He's got a very impressive khaki uniform with six big metals attached to his chest and a green sash hanging over his shoulder.
0:36.4	Now if you've never heard of the Republic of Molossia that's understandable because
0:41.1	it consists of only Baw's three bedroom house sitting on a 1.3 acre yard right outside of Dayton, Nevada.
0:50.0	In an article in the Chicago Tribune, it says that Molossia is the smallest republic ever.
0:55.8	It only has a population of six.
0:58.1	It's BAW, his two sons, and his three dogs.
1:01.4	The newspaper goes on to say,
1:03.0	Baw, a 45-year-old father of two, is a micro nationalist,
1:08.0	one of a wacky band of do-it-yourself nation builders
1:10.8	who raise flags over their front yards and declare their property to be as
1:14.9	Baw puts it quote the kingdom of me you've caught it right the kingdom of me for Baw it's a joke, but in the joke he's touched on
1:26.7	something that every human being wants to do. We all want to build a kingdom of
1:31.1	me. We all want to be king or queen of our own lives. We all want to
1:36.4	live for our own needs to get everything we want to build our own kingdom on our own agenda. But it's right there that we come
1:47.8	into conflict with Jesus because Jesus is the King of all things. Jesus is the king, not us, and we are called to build
1:57.2	his kingdom not our own. We're back in Luke chapter one where we are walking through the conversation that the angel has with Mary.
2:09.6	In verse 28 the angel says to her,
