you want to make sure that content that you actually expect to rank is optimized and

is in line with what Google wants to rank. Just because I create the best piece of content

about SEO, it doesn't mean that this is content that Google wants to rank. It might work

terrifically on Facebook ads and get a lot of traction. I might make a video out of it and it works

great on YouTube,

but it might just not be what Google wants to rank.
