Hi everyone. Welcome to another episode of In Bloom Podcast. My name is Abby Asselin, if you're new here,

0:06.6

and I'm the host of this podcast. This week, we're going to be talking about how to get out of your own way.

0:13.3

And I really wanted to do this episode because I feel like, as you guys know, I feel like if you've been listening to episodes throughout this entire year, it's just been a very

0:22.3

big year of self-discovery and just like really healing and just figuring a lot of stuff out about

0:32.1

myself. But there's this thing that kind of comes with learning new things about yourself and self-discovery and

0:40.7

growing and healing. And that is getting out of your own way because it can be really hard when

0:47.0

you start having all these realizations about yourself and who you actually are and like what

0:50.7

you actually care about. And you're so married to the idea of things needing

0:58.3

to be the way they always have been and just so connected with your old self that you sort of

1:04.1

subconsciously and accidentally get in your own way as you try to transition to, you know, a new version of yourself and adopt

1:13.7

like habits and practices and lifestyles that more so align with all the things that you've learned

1:21.6

and just all the ways you've grown and how you've healed and everything.

1:26.2

And I feel like I have noticed

1:28.3

this in the last few months with myself where I'm like, okay, I've really been working on this

1:34.7

and I feel like I've grown a lot in this area and I'm like healing from whatever it is. And then I'm like,

1:42.1

okay, well, now that we've like gotten through all of that I am feeling like

1:47.2

this itch and this desire to just step into something bigger and like greater and the side of me

1:57.6

that doesn't want to get uncomfortable again and just wants to kind of like keep things

2:03.7

the way they are because of not wanting to be uncomfortable and just because it's like what I know

2:08.1

right now it sort of results in me getting in my own way to where I can't I'm like literally

2:16.0

preventing myself from stepping into,

2:18.5

you know, the new version of myself that I'm like trying to be after I've done all of this
