Now this is a question that I've often asked myself,

as I often try to start many plants from seed just because it's very fun.

You know, you get to learn all the different methods for getting seeds started.

Sometimes you have to scarify, sometimes you have to stratify, sometimes you have to have to soak etc.

So it's really fun to try to figure it out

but there are sometimes seeds that just really cause

a million in one problems and lavender would be one of those seeds. I have certainly

struggled myself to grow lavender from seeds so I figured we'd cover that on

today's show. I've done a little bit of research and also I've been able to grow

it from seed in the past year or so. So let's go ahead and talk about it.

First of all, what you'll want to do is realize that lavender wants to have a stratification process.

It needs to go through that period of cold.

So what I would do is I would take a little dish plate,

like a smaller little serving plate,

put a paper towel on it, wet that paper towel,

moist or damp even, but not soaking wet. You don't want standing water on the paper towel.

And then sprinkle your lavender seeds on that paper towel and then put that in a

zip lock bag, put that in the fridge for honestly a month.
