| 0:00.0 | What do you think for you are practices that you use for benefiting rotation? |
| 0:05.0 | I've been doing a lot more heavy loaded rotation work, heavy cable rotation work, where I'm using the entire stack. |
| 0:12.0 | And then I'll do dynamic rotation with the med ball throws. You see a lot of guys, they're hurt or they're just burnt out. |
| 0:19.0 | I think you can trace a lot of that back to poor |
| 0:22.0 | fitness and a lack of conditioning. You can really utilize a lot of the strongman specific work |
| 0:27.5 | in a conditioning format, like the loaded carries. You can do that with a sandbag. Carry for 50 feet, |
| 0:33.4 | 15 rounds every minute on the minute. Now you're working with some of these high-level |
| 0:37.3 | strongman athletes. |
| 0:38.3 | How are you programming their nutrition with their training? |
| 0:41.3 | We'll utilize a lot of intra-workout nutrition because of those longer duration sessions, |
| 0:46.3 | multiple shakes, utilizing coconut water, highly branched cyclone, aminos, electrolytes, |
| 0:52.3 | creatine. |
| 0:53.3 | There is no better performance in answer, optimizing fluid, electrolytes, creatine. There is no better performance in the answer, |
| 0:54.9 | optimizing fluid and electrolyte, especially around training. So what's been going on, dude? |
| 1:00.2 | Well, I guess a lot. So I was here, what, back in February? So it's been a few months in my first |
| 1:07.6 | year of business, hammer and chisel performance. So I think we talked about it a little bit when I was on last, you know, made the move away from football. So this is my first, first football season, not on a strength and conditioning staff. That's got to free up some time. Yeah, a little bit. But you know what? I'm busy. Honestly, I'm busier than ever. The difference is I just set my own schedule. But it's different, right? You know, when you're working in football or really any traditional job, you've got a schedule set for you. And when the day is done, you get to kind of turn off, work's done for the day. Whereas now working for myself, there's no one setting a schedule for me. It's all on me. So I've had to figure out how to turn off. You know, I'll be like at home on the couch and I'm just thinking, should I be doing more? Do I need to be filming another video, doing more marketing, you know, coming up with more ideas? So that was something that I had to work through early on. |
| 2:02.2 | But I figured out some structure, got a good little schedule set. And things have been awesome. |
| 2:07.4 | I got my podcast going, YouTube channel, working with a lot of clients that I'm loving working with them at a coaching capacity. |
| 2:14.3 | So it's been a fun year. |
| 2:15.6 | Yeah, and he had a baby this year too. |
| 2:17.0 | Had a baby. Yeah, got a little nine-month-old guy at home. He's a little redhead. He's starting to, he was crawling around like a maniac starting to 70 or 80 pounds by now. You know what? He's like, he may have gotten his mom's genetics. He's, he's in the, you know, kind of mid-range percentile. for his head diameter is like 88th percentile. That's something to be proud of. |
| 2:38.0 | So maybe he'll grow into his noggin. But height and weight-wise, he's kind of middle of the pack there. How about you when you were a baby, though? Were you like a big baby or did you? Because you mentioned like you grew, but you had to fill in. Right. I was a pretty big. I was 10 pounds. |
