I'm so excited about our story that we have today. We have Lindsay Gibbs, an amazing spin

influencer. She has a newsletter called PowerPlays, and she's a co-host of Burn It All

Down. And we are going to talk about something that we both have experience with unions.

The WMBA's union is probably the best in

sports. I don't think that's out of bounds to say. Well, and it seems like the W players have

finally gotten the recognition they deserve over the past couple years for being the ones who

led the charge in a couple of ways.

Most notably, with an athlete's right to speak on what they want to speak on and to protest.

And I'm curious to see how much of that goes back to the union.

Also, yes, you and I were working at a company that went through the unionization process.

And, woo, we saw firsthand, like, the sheer hours

poured into organizing and bargaining. And it didn't only take labor to unionize. It takes a lot of

nerve. It can be a super scary thing. And I am forever in awe of bargaining committees everywhere after that.

Also, the W is a much bigger workplace.

So I would imagine that their fight in particular was and is tough.
