0:39.3	employees, I think the very first time I had to let somebody go was about 20 years ago.
0:44.9	It's not comfortable. It's awkward. It can also land you in a lot of legal trouble.
0:51.4	So in this brief episode, I'm going to share with you, like, beyond the practical tips,
0:56.3	beyond the things that you're going to read if you just do a quick Google search,
1:00.0	and share with you my personal opinion, as well as some personal experiences,
1:04.1	I think, should make this a little easier for you. All right, let's get to it.
1:10.8	I don't know if he's the originator of this quote, but I do remember hearing it first from Brian
1:15.1	Tracy, and that is to hire slow and fire fast. And while I wish that that were true,
1:22.8	I personally have found that we've always had to let go of somebody and ended up letting go of
1:28.4	them long after we should have. And I don't know if there's a way to fire somebody fast,
1:34.8	the only time that we ever did fire somebody fast, we got sued. It was completely frivolous.
