Ben, what got you first interested in buying rental properties?

Probably like a lot of your listeners and a lot of real estate investors today, I got

hooked reading Rich Dad, Boredad.

So somebody gave me that book back in 2002.

I read that while I was in college and got quickly addicted to the idea of financial freedom,

passive income, and just read everything

I could get my hands on and started working to buy my first property back then in college.

And fortunately, even though it took me a few years of banging my head against the wall,

eventually the no-doc loan came along and all of a sudden, anybody with a pulse could get a mortgage.
