Summary

In this episode of the Millionaire Mindcast, we have an amazing guest, Brian Glass who shares his journey of unlocking financial and time freedom, working on for carving himself, creating life balance between hustles and family, building wealth through real estate, and scaling business with great systems and frameworks!

Brian Glass is a dad of 3, ultra-runner, entrepreneur, Trial and Fairfax Personal Injury Lawyer, real estate investor, an advocate for lawyer happiness, and a Partner at BenGlassLaw. He is a member of the Fairfax Bar Association, Virginia Bar Association, and Virginia Trial Lawyers Association. He was recently named as one of the Top 40 Under 40 in Virginia by the National Trial Lawyers Association.  He also holds the distinction of being designated as a Rising Star by SuperLawyers magazine each year from 2017 - 2022.  This award recognizes only the top 2.5% of lawyers in the state.

Brian’s father is also a lawyer. He grew up and witnessed that family is important. Now being a father, he is trying to replicate his dad for his kids. His goal is to build wealth and unlock financial freedom to spend more time with his family and do whatever, whenever, and wherever he wants. Being a lawyer, he is carving out what he really wants his life to look like. He doesn’t want to sit on the beach and do nothing all day, thus, he is currently building a law firm with employees and clients he enjoys working with. Aside from this, Brian wanted to control his own properties. He feels secure with his income through his passive investments in real estate and his law firm.

So I'm playing on a much smaller scale, at least with the first ones, right?

So nothing was larger than 25,000, which to me is like, okay, I could go and settle a case tomorrow and make back that 25,000 if that deal goes kaput.

So there were small pieces and small percentages of my net worth, which I was comfortable with giving away.

And so the thing that I would say to people that are thinking

0:21.1

about it is educating yourself, number one, on what opportunities are out there.

0:36.2

Well, I'm excited to welcome into the show, fellow Go Abundance Brother, my man, Brian Glass.

You know, any time I get to have high-level conversations with fellow Go Abundance brothers,

0:51.7

I always get fired up because you always know there's just kind of

0:54.7

already a different caliber of conversation and awareness and intention. So I'm excited to be

1:01.8

connecting with you today and hearing about your journey because a lot of the people that we get

1:06.5

to interview on the show, I mean, all walks of life in terms of how they've kind of unlocked

1:10.8

financial freedom, how they're building wealth. I don't talk to too many lawyers, dude.

1:16.3

There are not too many lawyers who are thinking outside of how do I build a big enough pile

1:22.7

of money that I can retire someday and then draw off of it. So yeah, I mean, that's kind of the space that I'm working on carving out for myself, Matt,

1:30.8

is like being an advocate for lawyers and lawyer happiness.

1:35.0

And one of the things that I noticed when I got into abundance is there are not very many of us.

There's a couple, but there's, you know, most of you guys are real estate guys,

which is exciting to learn from.
