Summary

When we grasp our relationship with God as our Father and rest securely in His care and love, it will change what we do and why we do it. We will not be looking for the approval of men but only of God, and there is where we receive the greatest reward that isn't lost because it is done out of love for our Father in Heaven, and He has seen it, and He will reward us. 0:33.9	We are finally moving into a new chapter in our series on the Sermon on the Mount.
0:40.1	We spent here almost two years in Matthew chapter five and obviously I've gone pretty slow
0:44.5	on this, but we begin this month in Matthew chapter six, covering verses one through four.
0:50.2	And we're on episode 123 and I titled this one, How Should We Give?
0:56.9	We're moving into an area that calls for us to live without hypocrisy.
1:02.1	And this Sermon of Jesus continues to expose our true hearts as we walk through it.
1:07.6	And this passage today, it's going to continue to do so.
1:12.0	We need to be reminded that when we see ourselves as we truly are spiritually bankrupt before
1:18.3	the Lord, we're brought to God's great grace that there is nothing good in and of ourselves.
1:24.3	But now being in Christ filled with the Holy Spirit, that every characteristic that we've
1:29.3	seen laid before us of what those inside the kingdom should look like, they will be evident
1:34.9	in our lives.
1:36.1	And I get it here.
1:37.1	We're not going to be perfect, right?
1:38.5	We're not going to get this perfect.
1:39.8	We're going to fail, but we're going to be desiring to live lives of righteousness if we're
1:45.6	in Christ.
