just kind of get a brief background

about who you are and what you do.

Sure, well, I've been an academic most of my life

of a PhD in economics.

I've had research or teaching positions

at Stanford University Chicago,

the Wharton Business School Yale.

I was Chief Economist for the United States

Sentencing Commission,

and more recently I was Senior Advisor

for Research and Statistics

in the US Department of Justice.

So I've done academic stuff

and I've done been in law enforcement type areas.

But right now I'm President of the Crime Prevention

Research Center, we're a group of academics,

we do research on a wide range of crime issues,

everything from vote fraud to guns, to policing.

So if it falls in crime and it seems like most things

fall in crime, we can cover it.
