We've got an important episode coming today that will feature an interview with

NWSL Players Association Executive Director, Megan Burke. This interview is going to focus on

the PA's reaction to how the NWSL handled protocols after Savvy King collapsed in last Friday's

match between Angel City and the Utah Royals. Now, in case you missed that incident or you want to know more about

Now, first, we should say Angel City shared an update that Savvy King underwent a successful surgery Tuesday to address a heart abnormality.

King, quote, is now resting and recovering shredded by her family and her prognosis is excellent, Angel City said in that statement,

which of course is amazing, great news, and truly the most important thing that we've got to talk

about here today. On behalf of our entire family, along with Savvy, we have been so moved by the

love and support from Angel City players, staff, fans, and community, as well as soccer fans across the country, King's family wrote in a statement that was also released by the team on Tuesday.

Now, the NWSL Players Association released a statement on Wednesday that they want to see changes in the NWSEL's policy when it comes to canceling or suspending or postponing matches.

These moments demand humanity,

sound judgment, and restraint. Any medical emergency that requires the administration of life-saving care should bring play to an end. The match should not have continued their statement read.
