The Welcome to Faith is. I'm Pastor Rick Stevens. And did you know this weekend is a wonderful weekend to go to church.

Now, if you've heard me talk, you probably know that I would say every weekend is a great weekend to go to church.

But if you needed an excuse, and I don't know why you would, because shouldn't we all want to meet with God and his people, we sometimes think church is just church. No, it's life and death. it's meeting with the living God.

He is there when you are gathered with his people.

So it's a great weekend, every weekend, every Lord's Day is an opportunity to go to church.

But if you need an excuse outside of that, or an explanation or a reason or whatever, this is in our country Mother's Day weekend.

And so Sunday is Mother's Day.

And so go with your mother to church.

Or take her to church.

If neither one of you go to church, find a church and go.

Now, how do you find a church? You find a church that's closest to church. If neither one of you go to church, find a church and go. Now, how do you find a church?

You find a church that's closest to the Bible. That's what you want to look for. So, on this

Mother's Day, go to church. Honor your mother. That's what the Bible says. Honor your mother.

It doesn't say if you have a good one honor her and if you have a bad one don't it says honor your mother so i hope you will well maybe a

little more about that in a little bit but it came to my attention and I didn't see this.

I want to be absolutely clear about this.

I didn't hear what Tucker Carlson said.

I was told about it by people that I believe are reliable and so I trust them.

I don't typically listen to Tucker Carlson.

Not any particular reason until lately when I've heard so many people disparage him and criticize what he has said.

And so I've thought, why do I need to bother if that's where he's going?
