Investment involves risk. But first, the amount of money we're making when we come to sell our homes is

shrinking. Now that's according to new data analysis by estate agents Hamptons, who say returns

from property have fallen to the lowest level

since at least 2015 when they started recording this stuff.

Last year, the average seller in England and Wales got around £11,000 less than had they sold in

2023 and about $21,000 less, if my maths is right, from the peak in 2022.
