A company called Smart Asset did a study that was released last year, and it had the number in every single state

of what you needed to live comfortably. You want to take a guess. Oh, they broke it down.

Do they have Indiana? They did. They had every, that would be every single state.

So comfortable is defined as the monthly income needed to cover a 50, 30, 20 budget,

which allocates 50% of your earnings for necessities, like housing and utility costs,

30% for discretionary and 20% for savings or investments.

Indiana was, you want to take a guess what Indiana was? For comfortably,

$68,000. You are low. Oh, low. This is an individual, by the way, not a family. No, you're still

low. 80? Still low. Are you kidding? Nope. 90? Nope. 100. I'm sorry, you were high at 90.

85,000 is what it takes to live comfortably.
